Churdan library slates RMS Titanic dinner

Churdan area residents are invited to set sail on an exciting adventure aboard the RMS Titanic Sunday June 12, to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with a variety of activities in the library.   At 6 pm all participants will be summoned to the grand dining hall for their last meal on the Titanic. A free-will donation can be made for the meal, but is not required.  After dining, everyone will discover if they were one of the survivors.

This program is open to everyone.  “We are hoping everyone will call the library at 515-389-3423 with their reservation before that night, so we will have boarding passes ready for them” a library spokesperson said.  “You may still attend if you forget to register.  We are hoping everyone will learn something about the Titanic before the night is over.”

This event is sponsored from funds received through Communities 4 Children and Community Partnerships for Protecting Children neighborhood/Community Network Mini Grants.
